I worked on my website until almost 4:00 AM. Last thing I did was a pop-up windows with Java Script for people to chat with me from my webpage. I used a system created by Meebo. I worked until almost 3:30 AM. on stuff to publish on my website, and I continued working on that a few more hours in the morning and afternoon, and again at night. I went to see my daddy play soccer at 4:30 PM. His team won 3-2 and he scored a goal.

I worked during the dawn until 4:10 AM on the publication of the paper, a video and pictures of the lights bulb controlled by the computer project, which was done for Microprocessors and Assemblers class last semester. I continued working on that paper to publish about two hours in the afternoon and at night.
Since there is a fever in my country for the victory of El Salvador against Panama, I have heard a lot about the game, and the newspapers, radio and television are talking about it. It's sad to see how while some persons are celebrating, some other persons are really sad and probably even crying. That's competition and life is sometimes like this; sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. This time El Salvador won and Panama lost (talking about soccer). It's sad for Panama and for the coach Alexandre Borges Guimaraes, who wrote this in his website (http://www.aguima.com/content/?p=50#more-50) on June 24th, 2008:
En mi vida he visto muchos partidos de futbol, jugado más de 500 y dirigido en clubes y selecciones nacionales más de esa cantidad; pero nunca viví o presencié algo parecido a lo sucedido el domingo 22 de junio en el Estadio Cuscatlán de San Salvador en el partido difinitorio de El Salvador contra Panamá.
Hay victorias que te marcan un camino y derrotas incomprensibles que te destrozan el corazón.

Si hubo una serie entrenada, planificada, estudiada por el cuerpo técnico de Panamá, fue esta contra El Salvador.
Seguimiento y reclutamiento de jugadores locales y los que juegan en el extranjero. Escauteo y análisis del rival en partidos oficiales y amistosos. Una gira de tres partidos frente a Guatemala, Canadá y Chile donde ensayamos con buen éxito modelos de juego para ejecutarlos en los dos juegos contra El Salvador.
Todo ese trabajo nos permitió una victoria en casa, sin recibir goles, ventaja de un gol durante los primeros 60 minutos del segundo encuentro y luego una historia que me dejó como les dije roto el corazón.
Vino el 1 a 1 y con ello la parálisis total en el terreno de juego. Nos faltó esa fibra competitiva que te hace decir en la cancha: “Ya no más”. No tuvimos ese corazón de campeón. De ganadores.
El desenlace es solo anecdótico: penal inexistente, tarjeta roja inexplicable, inferioridad numérica y gol de la muerte por un desvío accidental de un jugador salvadoreño que se protege para que el balón no lo golpee, desviando la trayectoria del remate y dejar tendido a nuestro portero.
He tenido momentos dulces y amargos en esta profesión. Primero como jugador y desde hace un buen tiempo como entrenador, sin embargo, por todo lo que me involucré con la mayoría de jugadores, la marea roja y los dirigentes de Panamá, este, indudablemente, ha sido el sinsabor más grande en mi trayectoria deportiva.
Pasó cuando menos lo esperaba y donde menos lo quería.
“Así es el futbol”, se acostumbra decir cuando no encuentras palabras o razones. Por supuesto podría enumerar una serie de excusas, pero no acostumbro a usarlas para justificar derrotas o explicar lo impensable. Sin embargo sigue siendo un juego y como tal, como la vida, imprevisible.

I worked until like 2 AM on the checkers game, and I started the publishing stage, since I will have the entire code and program in my website. I continued working during part of the in the afternoon and again some minutes at night. El Salvador Vs. Panama was the match played tonight in San Salvador and wow what a great victory of El Salvador! Claudio Martínez, from El Diario de Hoy newsaper, wrote this:
El triunfo de la fe
Milagro. No hay otra palabra para explicar lo que sucedió en el Cuscatlán. Una noche inolvidable de esas que se suenan pero que rara vez se cumplen. Una historia con esos finales que suceden en las películas pero que nunca se dan en la vida real. Pues fue una noche de ensueño y con un final de película. Ni más ni menos. El Salvador sigue vivo, contra todo pronóstico ganó 3-1 y avanzó a la fase de grupos de la eliminatoria para Sudáfrica 2010.
El Salvador sacó la victoria más sufrida y más dulce de los últimos años. Ganaba hasta el ’88, pero de nada le servía por el gol de visita canalero, cuando un tanto increíble le dio la clasificación a la otra ronda de las eliminatorias a Sudáfrica 2010.
Escrito un 22 de junio. Increíble. No tiene otro nombre. El Salvador estaba fuera, desterrado de cualquier posibilidad de clasificar al mundial Sudáfrica 2010, cuando una pelota, un rebote, obró el milagro que todo un país esperaba.
La ilusión era lo único que le quedaba a la Azul cuando el reloj marcaba 88 minutos. Ganaba 2-1 a Panamá, pero el gol de visita anotado por los canaleros lo dejaba eliminado. Fuera.
Pero el destino tenía listo su libreto. Su historia. Y estaba escrita con tinta azul. Luis Anaya tomó una pelota por el carril derecho y cuando tiró a marco, un giro involuntario de José Martínez, a quien la pelota le pegó en el rostro, desvió la trayectoria del esférico.
Jaime Penedo, portero panameño, iba hacia su izquierda; la pelota rumbo a la derecha, donde no había nada que se interpusiera en su camino.
En esa pelota estaban guardados los gritos, las esperanzas y el aliento de todo un estadio, de todo un país, que contuvo la respiración para volver a la vida cuando esta tocó las redes. El Salvador está clasificado a la siguiente ronda.
Parecía que el sueño no se podía hacer realidad. Porque en el primer tiempo, al igual que en el partido de ida —donde se perdió 1-0— no se hicieron los méritos suficientes. Alimentó sueños cuando Alex Escobar probó desde fuera del área al ’11, directo a las manos de Penedo, pero la respuesta panameña, un cabezazo de Blas Pérez a la par del tubo defendido por Juan José Gómez parecía querer devolvernos a la realidad.
Tanto que se trabajó entre semana para buscar el sustituto por la expulsión de Manuel Salazar por izquierda. Se podía armar un completo rompecabezas de opciones. Pero, las ironías de la vida, empecinados en trabajar ese sector, fue por la derecha donde los canaleros encontraron el camino hacia el gol.
Del lado que no cubrió Shawn Martín salió el centro que bañó a toda la zaga y encontró la cabeza de José Luis “el Pistolero” Garcés. El del CSKA Sofía búlgaro haló el gatillo y su testarazo fue inalcanzable para Juanjo. Era el peor inicio que los salvadoreños podían pedir.
Porque después se llegó lo otro que nadie esperaba. La madre naturaleza, frustrada de ver a un país caído, abrió las puertas del cielo; no para dejar entrar ángeles, sino para soltar el llanto de estos, las lagrimotas de un país que parecía cansarse de no volver a la élite centroamericana en el fútbol.
Fue torrencial la lluvia. Lo opacaba todo. Era como niebla que no dejaba ver el camino que había que seguir si de verdad se quería salir del bache en que se había caído. En medio de todo, solo un tiro libre de Alfredo Pacheco, que rechazó Penedo, causó peligro para Panamá.
Pasó luego el agua. Había luz. Pero con esta, llegó también la imagen parodiada de nuestro fútbol. Un campo maltratado por el agua, fangoso, como los tres últimos años federativos; una selección complicada a la ofensiva, que no causó más acciones en toda la primera mitad.

Pero faltaban los segundos 45 minutos. Faltaba terminar de escribir la historia. Igual que en Panamá, la Azul comenzó la segunda parte más incisiva, aunque el tiro cruzado de Rudis Corrales sobre el ’47 pasara desviado de la portería.
Y los minutos se hicieron eternos. Se perdía 0-1 (0-2 en el global), y había que anotarle tres a una selección a la que en los últimos cinco partidos no se le había podido marcar uno solo.
Pero los seleccionados se empecinaron en mostrar que bajo la tradición de derrotas hay una selección con alma. Corrían 1,500 segundos —24 minutos— de la segunda mitad, cuando una falta frente al área panameña comenzó a dibujar el milagro. Eliseo Quintanilla llegó a pararse y con la izquierda la puso donde Penedo nunca podría alcanzarla.
Y la afición volvió a creer. A ellos que confiaron y que fueron porque sabían que si no era ayer, habría que esperar cuatro años para volver a llenar el estadio, se entregaron los jugadores.
Pero había que seguir escribiendo. El lápiz del destino determinó que Cheyo recibiera un jalón dentro del área que se sancionó con penalti. ¿Había que creer? Sí, había que hacerlo, porque nuevamente Quintanilla apareció con su izquierda para sacudir las redes rojas.

Quedaban apenas 20 minutos y el desconsuelo se había apoderado de cada uno de los salvadoreños. Las caras de resignación lo decían todo. Los que todavía tenían ánimo para pensar, sacaban cuentas de cuánto faltaba para Brasil 2014, porque ya se consideraban afuera de Sudáfrica.
No era para menos. Panamá ganaba 1-0 gracias a un cabezazo de Garcés al 15', se defendía sin necesidad de sufrir y varias veces estuvo cerca del segundo.
El Salvador era un manojo de nervios, no tenía respuestas futbolísticas y la única manera de crear algo de peligro era a través de jugadas a balón parado a través de Quintanilla, Pacheco o Álex Escobar. Había que hacer tres goles y todos, hasta los más optimistas, sabían que la contundencia no es la mejor arma de los cuscatlecos. Pero de repente empezó a gestarse el milagro.
Eliseo Quintanilla abrió el cerrojo gracias a su pegada magistral. Iban 70' y un tiro libre excepcional hizo la comba perfecta para superar la barrera e ir a morir al fondo de la red. El 1-1 llegó algo tarde, pero era lo que necesitaba El Salvador para despertarse.
Revivieron las gradas, revivió el equipo, porque la fe es lo último que se pierde. A partir de ahí la Selecta no logró mejorar su fútbol aunque sí se hizo dueño del partido gracias al empuje. Ya había entrado Umaña y el equipo se había adelantado unos metros. La Selección de De los Cobos se dio cuenta de que todavía podía, que no era imposible convertir dos goles más. Panamá había hecho el gasto en el primer tiempo y luego se dedicó a administrar la ventaja sin sufrir ningún sobresalto.
Sin embargo, tan clave como el golazo de tiro libre de Cheyo fue la jugada del 82' en la que el árbitro Marco Antonio Rodríguez pitó un penal -muy dudoso- de Rivera sobre el Cheyo. Y por si fuera poco expulsó al defensor visitante en la misma jugada. Otra vez apareció la jerarquía de Quintanilla para mantener la mente fría y convertir el penal.
Si el primer gol fue gracias a la soberbia pegada de Cheyo y el segundo una ayudita del árbitro, el tercer gol, al 89', simboliza lo que fue ayer El Salvador. Voluntad para avanzar como sea, garra para pelear aún en inferioridad física y un espíritu enorme para no darse por vencido nunca.
Así llegó el gol de la clasificación. Luis Anaya ya no sólo será recordado por aquel par de patadas que casi fractura a dos guatemaltecos en la Copa Uncaf. El defensor tomó la pelota, comenzó a avanzar y sacó un riflazo impresionante que probablemente Penedo hubiera controlado, pero el balón se desvió en Chepe Martínez, desconcertó al portero y terminó adentro. Iban 89'y el milagro ya estaba consumado. El Cuscatlán era un volcán en erupción. El fútbol se maneja por estados de ánimo. Y la Selecta tuvo 20 minutos inolvidables, con una determinación nunca antes vista, y ganó un partido memorable, de esos que se comentarán de generación en generación. Tuvo, además, la suerte que se le negó en otros partidos. Por eso vale embriagarse de euforia y celebrar a lo grande. Después, ya en frío, habrá que analizar cómo se le gana a Costa Rica, Surinam y Haití. Pero ahora que siga el carnaval.

"Tras un buen primer tiempo, el conjunto panameño se vio mermado en el segundo debido, en parte, a las 'locuras' cometidas por el técnico Alexandre Guimaraes", quien con sus "misteriosos cambios le entregó el juego en bandeja de oro al equipo cuscatleco", indicó el periódico en su crónica.
El Siglo afirmó que Panamá pasó de la ilusión en el primer tiempo "a la mediocridad y falta de garra, con la complicidad del técnico Alexandre Guimaraes, que provocaron la debacle" con sus cambios.
El Panamá América en su contraportada colocó una foto de Guimaraes con la mano alzada y apuntó: "Que levante la mano el culpable".
La Estrella de Panamá y La Prensa también critican en sus ediciones del lunes los cambios realizados el domingo ante El Salvador por el técnico de la selección panameña.

I worked a few minutes at the dawn on my own ads for my webpage (ads linking to my own stuff, not commercial ads). I went to get my official grades to the university in the morning. By the way, the university is not called UNICO anymore, but UNICAES, which stands for Universidad Católica de El Salvador. I continued working at night on the checkers game I am programming in Visual Basic 2005.

I continued working on the checkers game I am programming in Visual Basic 2005 until 1:45 AM. After that I did 15 chocobananos, since I really like to eat chocobananos. After that (still at the dawn) I started trying to solve the problem with my Google Ads (the ones of my webpage), since I started to get Public Service Ads because I have not introduced the PIN yet after 4 months since the time they sent it to me, but how to introduce it when I have not received it by snail mail? Well, it seems like it would be convenient for me if Google Adsense had PayPal method or some other way to pay the earnings people get from the ads. Anyway what else can I do? I requested another PIN, a second one, but 2 more months and my founds would be cancelled for not entering the PIN. But I have not received it. I need some other payment method, like PayPal. It's been 4 months and I have not received my PIN by snail mail. Maybe it is not Google's fault, maybe the postal service lost my PIN number, but it feels bad depending only on one payment method; I would like PayPal to work for me to receive my Google Adsense earnings. I went to cut off my hair today. In the afternoon I continued trying to figure out what's the problem and reading in Google forums to know why I don't have my PIN yet and similar problems from other Google Adsense users. I even read the Terms and Conditions for using Yahoo! Publisher Network, but I don't apply, since it is available only for USA right now, and I am in El Salvador. At night I worked on my own ads, which means that I am creating my own ads linking to my own stuff. I like it. I am not going to be paid for that, but I will have ads linking to my own stuff, and that's good because these are not commercial ads but ad links to my own things, and I try to publish productive and useful things for people (educative stuff). But if I get my PIN on time, I could go back to have commercial ads. I don't know, it depends on whether I receive my PIN or not.

I finished reading Exodus this afternoon, at about 5:30 PM. I started to read the HOLY BIBLE, NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION on August 5, 2007, and I finished today Exodus. I know it has taken me so long to read the beginning of this Bible version, then Genesis and Exodus, but I have learned a lot and it was a great experience reading this, even when I have been kind of slow to read, especially because I have used my dictionary every time I find a new word (words that I don't understand). At almost 6:00 PM. I started to read The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren. At night I continued programming the checkers game in Visual Basic 2005.

I worked on the checkers game from about 1:00 a.m. and during the dawn, morning and afternoon. I presented the program with my team at night, and we got 10, I think my group got the highest grade. Everything worked really well, and even when the program was not 100% finished, it worked really well and the program did everything the professor evaluated. For one moment at the dawn I thought I would not get everything done, but I am glad that everything was alright at the end, and I have passed all of my classes, which is great and I am grateful to God because even in little thing He is helping His little children, and after the presentation of the checkers game my vacation begins. If I don't fail classes, I just have 3 more semesters finish my major, wow, it feels that time goes fast! At night I continued working for about 1 hour on the checkers game, since I liked programming it and I am trying to fix every single problem with the code and I want to 100% finish this program, if possible, since there are parts that I have to continue programming in order to completely finish the program. I studied Data Transmission a few minutes at the dawn, and I continued studying that from about 11:00 AM and during the entire afternoon. At 6:45 PM I had my final Data Transmission test. It had only 5 questions. I felt it easy and I answered all the questions. I think my answers were right and I should get a good grade, most likely. I only needed 2.16 in this test to pass this class, so I will surely pass it. At night after coming back from school I continued working a little on the checkers game due next Wednesday in Object-Oriented Programming class.

I studied LOGO! SIEMENS stuff for about one hour and I had my last Microprocessors and Assemblers test (exercises using LOGO! SIEMENS symbols). I finished two exercises (hopefully they are not bad and I get many points from them, but the test had four exercises. Maybe the professor will evaluate only two exercises, since the test was kind of long, but I don't know, it is up to him.

I worked during the dawn until almost 6:00 AM. on a checkers game due next Friday (the first part), and I continued working on that at night. I went to Microprocessors and Assemblers class at night but it was not formally a class, but a presentations of projects for some teams who had problems with their final projects and brought their work tonight.

I studied in the morning and part of the afternoon for the Data Transmission test, and I had this class at almost 3:00 PM, then a test at about 4:00 PM. I think I will get 10 this time, hopefully! I really think I will get 10 now, but hopefully, I know a simple word can change the sense and meaning of words, but I think my answers both are right (the exam had only 2 questions).
